Australian Support Committee

The Australian Support Committee was formed when the founder of BCC, Pastor Sam Wandendeya, visited Geelong in 1994.

The issues we now deal with are much bigger than those we initially started with, and as Bushikori has grown, so has the committee.  The members all have an enormous passion for BCC, and spend many hours each week volunteering their time to support and promote the work of the Bushikori Christian Centre.

Currently through the Australian Support Committee over 370 children are sponsored and we have many more on our waiting list.  Some of the children receiving sponsorship are now undertaking university or trade educations in tertiary institutions.  Some have now moved onto being employed or have been able to set up their own business.

In April 2007 our first group of sponsored students graduated from tertiary institutions are are now qualified for careers in their chosen fields.  We are eagerly awaiting the results of this year's graduating classes.

No money donated towards Bushikori Sponsorship or Projects is used in Australia, all costs incurred by the committee are paid for by committee members or with specific donations.
